Frequently Asked Questions
-
How much will it cost to restore my vehicle?
We don’t offer estimates for full restorations — and here’s why. Every project uncovers hidden issues like rust, poor previous repairs, or hard-to-find parts. Shops that give fixed estimates often end up cutting corners to stay on budget. We don’t believe in that.
All of our restoration work is done on a time and materials basis to ensure transparency and the highest quality craftsmanship your vehicle deserves.

How long will it take to restore my vehicle?
As long as it takes to do it right. Putting a time table on a project of this nature only sacrifices quality and craftsmanship. It all depends on condition, parts, and the owner's vision. However, detailed photos and timeline journals will keep you informed of your vehicle's progress and cost every week. We have built solid relationships with our vendors and perfected our parts hunting techniques. Due to the limited manpower, Beal & Company cannot search for parts if the vehicle is not being actively restored at our facility.

Is my vehicle worth restoring?
Restoring a vehicle is a personal decision, and whether it’s the right choice depends on your goals. In most cases, the cost of a full restoration will exceed the car’s market value — but for many owners, the value lies in sentiment, history, or simply the passion of building something meaningful. That’s why we encourage you to ask yourself: Why do I want this car restored? Can I afford to invest in it the right way? If the answer is yes, we’re here to help. At Beal & Company, we don’t offer fixed estimates, because every project is different and often full of surprises. Our work is done on a time-and-materials basis to ensure quality without compromise. Restoration also takes time — we don’t rush it — but we keep you informed with regular updates, photos, and cost tracking throughout the process. If you’re serious about doing it right, we’re ready when you are.
-
Do you handle mechanical work, or just body and paint?
We handle all aspects of the restoration process — from body and paint to mechanical and electrical systems. However, certain components, such as engine rebuilds, transmission work, or specialty tuning, may be outsourced to trusted specialists we've worked with for years. This ensures the highest quality results across every part of your build.
-
Do you work for insurance company's?
No, we do not work with insurance companies. Our focus is on custom restorations and quality craftsmanship, giving each vehicle the individual attention it deserves rather than handling insurance claims or collision repairs.
